Crowns are the currency used at Taste of Melbourne to purchase dishes and drinks from the restaurants and producers. Crowns may also be used to purchase food and drink from the exhibiting producers at the event. The restaurants only accept Crowns as payment and a limited number of exhibitors accept cash. 1 Crown = $1. Crowns can be purchased at the event as well.

Sample size signature dishes from the restaurants will be priced at 8, 10, & 12 Crowns each. Drinks start at 6 Crowns.

Crowns can be purchased onsite at the event at Crown Banks, Crown Sellers and the Ticket Office
The Royal Exhibition Building is located just north of Melbourne's CBD, and is next to the Melbourne Museum in Carlton Gardens.

Transport options include:
- Tram 86 or 96 to corner Nicholson and Gertrude Streets
- Free City Circle Tram to Victoria Parade
- City loop train to Parliament Station
- Bus routes 250, 251 and 402 to Rathdowne Street

Still and sparkling water & coffee are complimentary in the VIP lounge throughout the session. Live music, Exclusive airconditioned seating areas

$12 (entry only) - Advance price: Child tickets are $15 on the door
Children 5 and under Free

$30 book of Crowns (Advance purchase only):
1 Crown = $1

You can buy Crowns in advance with a Premium or HSBC VIP ticket Package (each package include a book of 30 Crowns)

You can purchase an entry only ticket and purchase Crowns at the event from numerous locations.
